Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965 is an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. She is most famous for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), an educator and therapist for families and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has stated that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover meal times.
